The Merchant of Venice (dir. Michael Radford, 2004; Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons, Lynn Collins) will be screened this Friday, March 14, at 17:00, at the GKM.
The Merchant of Venice is adapted from William Shakespeare's play with the same title. Written around 1596 and set in sixteenth-century Venice, it touches upon such themes as mercantile society, inter-communal relations, urban and courtly life.
